All dreams can be divided into three types:

from Shaitan - these are bad dreams, nightmares. Having awakened after them, a Muslim must ask his Creator for help against the instigations of the shaitan. The continuation of the above-mentioned hadith says: “If he sees something negative, then let him call for the protection of Allah and not report this dream to anyone, in which case it will not harm him.” In another narration cited by Imam Muslim, the following advice is also given: “... let him spit to the left three times and turn over to the other side.” The following hadith, which is contained in the collections of Imam Bukhari, recommends that a Muslim who sees something bad in a dream should get up and pray. Regarding the prohibition of telling others about a bad dream, the narration from Tirmidhi states that it is permissible to share it with a very close person or a scientist. This is explained by the fact that a loved one will help and morally support, and the alim will be able to interpret it;
neutral - characterize a person’s thoughts, his aspirations and desires, but at the same time they cannot be called either good or bad.

Prophetic dreams

Some dreams can carry certain information about the past, present and even future. The mercy of the worlds Muhammad (s.g.w.) called them “one of the 46 parts of prophecy” (Bukhari). Moreover, as the Day of Judgment approaches, the number of prophetic dreams will increase.

According to hadiths, people who adhere to sincerity in everything dream about them more often. The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: “Prophetic dreams are often seen by those who are truthful in their statements” (Muslim). Also, according to theologians, the chances of seeing a prophetic dream increase for those who fall asleep in a state of ritual purity, read the Koran before, eat exclusively halal food and do not commit serious sins.
