Why dream of a dead man in a church, dream of a dead man in a church in a dream

Why do you dream of a funeral service: interpretation in various dream books

As the dream book interprets, a funeral service is far from a joyful procedure, and if you saw it in a dream, it is quite natural that upon awakening you may experience fear or anxiety, especially if you performed the funeral service for a loved one, but the interpretation of such a dream is not so clear and formidable.

If you had a dream with a funeral service without much connection with surrounding events, you should pay more attention to it.

Question and answer

In this case, perhaps this message should not be taken literally. Her prayerful commemoration will be useful for both the living and the deceased.

Everyone is free to resolve this issue in their own way. Most people experience some discomfort after this type of dream and strive to get rid of it one way or another.

If you still remember the dream, and the request made in it continues to feel like something unfulfilled, it is better, of course, to remove such a burden - at least to remember the deceased.

Vanga's Dream Book

Such a dream is, in some way, a hint, a reminder that your spirituality is weakening, you need to visit church to avoid trouble. Your affairs will improve if you do not refuse help.

What to do if you dream about deceased relatives?

Man is the image and likeness of God. The greatest creature on earth. You can even say that the Earth and everything on it was created for him - it is his cradle. In addition, man is a two-part being: on the one hand, he has a material body, on the other, an immortal soul, similar to the holy Angels. Man is the son of God, only, naturally, a son “with a small letter.”

This is our high dignity!

Therefore, we, dear brothers and sisters, are very complex, deep beings. And often we ourselves do not know and cannot guess what is mixed in us. It is not for nothing that man is sometimes called a “macrocosm,” that is, the cosmos in miniature - within the bodily framework of one created being. There is only one “but” here...

After the fall of the holy forefathers Adam and Eve, sin multiplies in the world, which can only be healed by our Lord Jesus Christ.

As a result of this, inside a person - in the heart - it is as if his second nature is formed. Often a person does not know himself. He perceives not his real “I,” but a tangle of sins and passions that has tightly woven itself into his heart and obscured the immortal human soul.

Often we do not even know our own soul, but identify our sinfully passionate fusion. This is also the sin of Western schools of psychology and pedagogy, which consider only the superficial “layer” of a person and cultivate indulgence in him. Orthodox ascetic work, on the contrary, is primarily aimed at unraveling the sinful tangle, helping a person, with God’s help, to get rid of it, cleansing and freeing the soul. It is from here that the famous saying of the holy supreme apostle Paul: “But those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts” (Gal. 5:24).

You may ask, why such a long preface?

Yes, because the main method of Satan and demons is to play on human passions and sins, like a musical instrument. The devil strives to be a puppeteer, pulling a person's strings of sin so that his soul goes to hell.

The King of Darkness is powerless on his own. He has no power over a person. But he is a great illusionist and magician. It is from here that the names of the unclean are “evil” and “slanderer.” His main task is to win a person over to his side - to venerate him (the ancient holy fathers used the word “addiction”) and force him to obediently do his will. The devil’s method can be compared to hair extensions: Satan’s alien plan is woven into a person’s thought or feeling. Like a fisherman who has hooked a big fish on the hook of sin-passion, he leads a person by the nose until he completely overcomes him. Schematically, the anatomy of sin looks like this: a pretext - a person’s consideration of a pretext - accepting it in the heart - admiring it - committing a sin - repeatedly committing a sin - sin turns into an inveterate passion - destruction of the soul.

Therefore, we must be very attentive to ourselves - to our thoughts. After all, around us in the invisible world there are thousands of spirits - holy Angels and demons. And the latter are trying to invade our souls, and the former want to protect us. We must help our holy Guardian Angels - through prayer, fasting, repentance, and the Sacraments of the Church. And under no circumstances should you accept or even consider the enemy’s excuses with your inner mental-heart vision. Satan is a very ancient and intelligent creature. If we focus our attention on his tricks, he will carefully look for a way to catch us.

For example, the devil or demon can appear to a person in the form of an Angel, a saint, Christ or a deceased relative. In such cases, the unclean skillfully plays on the feelings of sinful human nature: pride, vanity, fear of superstition and ingratiates himself into his trust, gradually pushing the person to the abyss.

Therefore, ALL the holy fathers unanimously say that we CANNOT BE TRUSTED IN DREAMS.

There are three types of dreams:

1. From God. 2. From the devil. 3. From nature.

Dreams from God are dream-visions, prophecies, admonitions that spiritually develop a person, show him the right path in life, and warn him against danger. A striking example of such a dream is the vision of the holy Patriarch Jacob of a mysterious staircase, prefiguring the Most Holy Theotokos (Gen. 28:10–14). But in order to see such dreams, you need to be a saint - that is, a person who has cleansed his heart through fasting, prayer, pious living, humility, confession, and the communion of the Holy Body and Blood of Christ to the deep level of vision of God. You and I, dear brothers and sisters, are often not such great ascetics and have not achieved holiness. Therefore, seeing dreams from God is unworthy.

Dreams from the devil can be conditionally divided into three types: in which he tries to push us into some kind of passion (for example, fornication, defilement in a dream); when it seeks to scare us, terrify us (its goal is to bring a person out of a state of mental balance); in which he disguises himself as God, saints, dead relatives. The last dreams are the most dangerous, because vanity and pride are deeply rooted in a person (almost everyone) (“Like, wow, I was honored to see God or the saints”), or because of the feeling of grief from the loss of a loved one, he is in an unstable psychological state and may also be subject to attacks by demons.

Natural dreams are when a person, in various bizarre forms, experiences in his sleep the events that happened to him over the past day.

In these dreams, a person may also be attacked by demons.

You and I, dear brothers and sisters, can see the last two types of dreams due to our sinful nature.

But the holy fathers warn: under no circumstances pay attention to dreams. We got up in the morning, crossed ourselves, read the morning prayers and, forgetting everything from the night, went to work.

Regarding deceased relatives...

In order for our conscience to be clear and not reproach us, we need to do for the deceased everything that the Church prescribes: order magpies, memorial services, litias, read prayers, give alms. Go in and light a candle for them in the church. Believe me, they will receive great grace from God in the next world and your earthly prayer “letter of love.” For those who have not been baptized, have taken their own lives, or for whom, for one reason or another, one cannot pray in church, one can ask for the priest’s blessing to offer prayers for God’s mercy at home (for example, the prayer of St. Leo of Optina for suicides) or do alms: feed homeless person, etc. The only thing is, don’t force people to remember the deceased, but do it yourself at home, if you have the blessing of the priest.

For those who still have doubts after reading this article and who still dare to believe dreams, I recommend reading the Patericon, in particular the Pechersk life of St. Isaac, the recluse of Pechersk, or the essay of St. Ignatius (Brianchaninov) “On Charm.”

It must be remembered that in wakefulness a person is protected, among other things, by the power of his will. In a dream, when he relaxes and his will turns off, he can be attacked by demons. It is to protect ourselves from the unclean that we read evening prayers; during the prayer “May God rise again...” we sign our bed with the sign of the cross and conclude the evening rule with the prayer “In Thy hands, Lord Jesus Christ, my God, I commend my spirit...”, which is read for this purpose. so that before going to bed, when our psychological defenses weaken, we voluntarily surrender our souls to the care of the Lord. And then everything will be fine...

Live today!

Did you dream about a funeral service for a deceased person? The dream book believes that it is time for you to forget about some past problems, relationships or feelings. They are left behind, and a completely new stage awaits you.

Why do you dream that during the funeral service for a dead person, those around you chat, judge him, and even laugh? Be prepared for a serious conflict with your boss or a loud scandal with strangers and neighbors.

In general, seeing a dead person in a coffin literally means that you need to live in the present, and not look back at past achievements or losses.

What to do if the deceased asks for something in a dream?

“Sleepy” reality is formed according to its own rules and offers the most unexpected combinations of images. A special group consists of dreams in which a deceased person makes some kind of request. Often this is a completely affordable, even household item, and many, upon waking up, are almost ready to hand it over... But to whom? How to convey what is asked to the world that is beyond life?

Do not forget!

To understand the interpretation, the dream book advises taking into account the features of the building where the funeral service took place.

Why do you dream, for example, of a bright and spacious church? In a dream, this is a symbol of spiritual rebirth and life renewal. A beautifully decorated church symbolizes respect from others and overall success.

Did you dream of an abandoned, gloomy church? The dream book promises repentance for bad deeds. The worst thing is to see that the funeral service takes place in a dilapidated building. This is an eloquent indication that you have forgotten about your soul for the sake of short-lived earthly pleasures.
